Practicing yoga can help us to align our body, energy, emotions, and thinking into a coherent whole. We gain inner space, which gives us resilience to meet challenges of the day and helps us to grow healthy and content.

To start with yoga in the morning is to start the day well, to be responsible for your own self and to tune in with the greater universe. It doesn't take a lot but a bit of will and the decision to make a start.

After a session there is occasionally a short period of adjustment as part of the healing process, where you may become more aware of symptoms. Sometimes people report relief after only one or two sessions.

For long-standing problems further sessions may be needed. Some people find they benefit from regular treatment over an extended period of time and say that, as well as noticing improvement in their physical or emotional symptoms, they feel that they have more awareness of their own needs and strengths, and their quality of life has improved

People sometimes ask about the name Craniosacral Therapy and think it only refers to the head. In fact Craniosacral Therapy works with the whole person and changes may occur in body, mind and spirit during and after sessions. When a Craniosacral therapist places his/her hands lightly on you, he/she is using them to listen to you in much the same way that a counsellor might listen to your words. Your body responds to this sensitive touch by beginning to listen to itself. A feeling that you have been heard in the truest sense of the word is a common experience during and after a Craniosacral session.

These are some of the words and phrases that people have used to describe their experience of Craniosacral Therapy: “Comforting, inner peace, a sense of relief, deep stillness and relaxation, connection, feeling accepted, feeling more fully alive, put back in one piece, feeling whole again”.

Craniosacral Therapy supports your body’s innate ability to balance, restore and heal itself, as well as helping to reduce stress and build your underlying energy.

Everything is connected, nothing exists on its own. The art of living is to recognise that, the art of healing is to be with that.

"Everything flows..." said Heraclitus. An observation that everything moves and changes has been noted already by early philosophers who tried to understand the mystery of nature and find the essence of human being. They presupposed that something that constantly changes can't be an essence and they started to look for something that doesn't change. And that is supposed to be our essence, our inner self.

'Know Thyself' was the maxim of antiquity. How can we lead a good life if we don't know who we are at first. To be truly happy is to be aligned with oneself, and to be aligned with oneself is to be connected with the whole.

So if everything flows, where does the movement come from? It comes from the stillness. And to find that level of stillness, to hear the voice of the silence has been a quest for many traditions and practices.

Sometimes difficulties in life, as well illnesses are trying to bring attention to something that needs to change. Every crisis is an opportunity for a change, but we have to learn how to listen. The core of this healing practice is the heart of listening.

The health is always there, in the depth of our being. This is our treasure. No matter how difficult it gets, there is always a possibility of a renewal.

"When you touch one thing with deep awareness,
 you touch everything.

- Lao Tzu

People may come for Craniosacral Therapy because they have acute physical problems like headaches or bad backs, or long-standing problems both physical and emotional. Others come for ongoing support in their busy lives and for help to meet life’s challenges.

Because it is so gentle and non-invasive, Craniosacral Therapy is suitable for everyone from newborns to the elderly. Mothers and babies often come for problems associated with difficult or traumatic births. Letting go of tension and fear held in the body enables both to settle into calmness.

Miha Kosir is a Registered Craniosacral Therapist. He qualified from the Craniosacral Therapy and Educational Trust (CTET) and is a member of the Craniosacral Therapy Association. His approach is Biodynamic.

For the last twenty years he discovered his passion in studying philosophy. He also teaches yoga on regular basis and has an interest in Sat Nam Rasayan yogic healing technique.
